Missions Ministries

Angel Tree Ministry

The mission of the Angel Tree Ministry is to share the love of Christ by providing gifts and encouragement to children and families in need during the Christmas season. We unite our community in compassionate giving, reminding every child that they are valued and loved by God. Through acts of generosity and faith, we bring joy to children, hope to families, and glory to God.

Matthew 25:40 — Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Clothing Ministry

Mentoring

This ministry consists of wise and trusted counselors who empower each other in a relational experience by helping the mentoring partner discover and interpret God’s activity in his/her life and conforms his/her life to God’s director.  We provide a good model, asking probing questions and offering encouragement.  We provide mentoring for teens ages 13 – 18, many of whom are angry and in trouble with the law, their schools, and their families.  In most cases, this anger is a defense mechanism to hide silent fear, hurt, or rejection.  We ask for their life stories, listen to what interests them, look for common interests, receptivity to new ideas, and desire for spiritual growth.  In today’s society, there seems to be more hurt than hope and more pain than peace.  Teens are looking for answers to their problems and for a life with real meaning.

Military Ministry

This ministry serves active duty personnel, veterans, and military families in: prayer, family assistance, hospital visitation, nursing homes, and those veterans in hospice care.  A special service is set aside to recognize, honor, and thank our active duty servicemen and women, our veterans who have served, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  Additionally, we send our military men and women care packages, letting them know that we love them and appreciate their commitment to the service of our country.  Countless soldiers returning from battle have suffered from what is now called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), caused by exposure to constant traumatic events.  In 1 Samuel 30, when David and his men returned from battle and found their city ransacked and families kidnapped, they experienced full-blown PTSD.  Healing came as David sought the Lord in prayer and  stepped out with God’s anointing to help his men recover everything.  This is the heart of EBC Military  Ministry.  One by one we will encounter wounded warriors and allow God’s love to bring healing.  Isaiah 41:13 – “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
