Our Pastor

Reverend Terrence R. Teagle

Reverend Terrence R. Teagle was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late William and Mary Teagle. After graduating from high school, he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served for 22 years.

A servant leader at heart, during his Air Force travels Pastor Teagle worked faithfully in military chapel ministries to include Men’s Ministry Leader, Choir, Vacation Bible School and Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Lay Minister. As he continued to grow in his relationship with Christ, he answered the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ on December 5, 2005.

Reverend Teagle was ordained in February 2016, under the spiritual guidance of the late Reverend Dr. Walter R. Dean, Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. As an Associate Minister at Ebenezer, he served in numerous ministry capacities to include Youth Minister, Drama Ministry, Couples Ministry Co-Lead, Men’s Bible Study Facilitator, Nursing Home Ministry and Food Outreach. His commitment to education and life-long learning has earned Pastor Teagle associate degrees in Logistics and Instructor Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, and a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. He is currently employed with the United States Air Force at the Acquisitions Management and Integration Center, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, where he serves as a Portfolio Manager.

Reverend Teagle was elected Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia in November 2022, where he instituted his vision of “Love God, Love People, Let Everyone Know”.

Throughout the vibrant Ebenezer Baptist Church Family, he is affectionately called “Pastor T”. Additionally, he is civic minded and is a member of the Hampton Roads NAACP, serves as Auditor of the Tidewater Peninsula Baptist Association and actively participates in the annual Hampton City Schools Priorities workshop where he explores solutions to expand community engagement and school district improvements.

While in high school, Pastor Teagle met the love of his life, the former Dawn Shivers. They married in 1991 and are the proud parents to three precious gifts from The Lord: Devin, Tyler, and Taylor. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:11; “Not That I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content”.
